Diesel Christmas Music

By now I’m sure you’re already sick of that one radio station in your area that’s been playing non-stop Christmas music since before Thanksgiving. The same fifteen songs over and over and over. Simply, the radio “standards” or “classics” do not put me in the holiday spirit and in fact, almost make me want to convert to Judaism. So to save you from these same feelings, here is a Christmas playlist that is sure to make Santa shimmy down your chimney.

“Oi to the World” – No Doubt
Not just my favorite Christmas song, but probably my all-time favorite No Doubt song which happens to be a Vandals cover.

“Hark the Herald Angels Sing” – Dustin Kensrue
“First Noel” – Brian Wilson

“Christmas is Coming” – Vince Guaraldi Trio (Charlie Brown Christmas)
Probably the best Christmas album ever recorded. People give a lot of love to “Linus & Lucy” but I prefer the deeper cuts.

“Jingle Bell Rock” – Bobby Helms
“Angels We Have Heard on High” – Relient K
“Frosty the Snow Man” – The Beach Boys
Song for a Christmas Party” – Proper Animals
“Wish List” – Neon Trees
“We Wish You a Merry Christmas” – Weezer

“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ – Brenda Lee
Two words: Home Alone!

“Happy Xmas (War is Over)” – John Lennon
“Sleigh Ride” – Relient K
“Ex-Miss” – New Found Glory
“Skating” – Vince Guaraldi Trio (Charlie Brown Christmas)
