Travis Barker – Can a Drummer Get Some?

Easily my most anticipated album of 2011 is Travis Barker’s solo debut Can a Drummer Get Some? A few tracks have already been released including “The Jump Down” and “Carry It” (below). I’m a fan of pretty much anything Barker does. If he recorded himself taking a dump, I’d buy it. But it’s apparent that his album is straight hip-hop with ill beats and some of the best emcees in the game. The title track dropped this week featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz and The Game.  The full album drops in March with these three singles as a pretty good indication of what to expect. Call it Punk-Hop.

Barker was also announced as a supporting act for Weezy’s upcoming tour, which will be interesting to see how he pulls off a solo live show. All eyes gravitate to Travis whenever he hits the stage, so whatever he has planned will surely be special.

Weak as in the videos suck or you don’t like the songs?

  3. Both I guess, I figured I’d be more impressed with a Travis Barker project

Yea, while TB probably loves hip hop, I don’t think it’s the best venue for him to shine. I think my favorite record with him is the Boxcar Racer album.
